Leader of the Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami, currently on a tour titled “We will protect the people, we will save Tamil Nadu,” addtessed a huge gathering at Rajapalayam.During his address, Palaniswami stated, “You (DMK) might have a strong alliance, but we have the strength of the people. The people are the ones who determine victory and defeat in every election, and they are on our side.”
He further criticized the Communist parties, saying, “The policies of the Communist parties have vanished into thin air. You have lost your influence among the people. Your party will lose its identity during the elections. The Communist parties that exist today are not fighting for the people.”
Palaniswami also questioned their opposition to the DMK government, asking, “Have the Communist parties issued a single statement against the DMK in the last 50 months?” He also mentioned that the leaders of the DMK alliance seek permission from the Chief Minister to speak about honor killings.
