A passenger on the Rameswaram Express pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a halt on the new Pamban rail bridge, according to a report.
The incident occurred as the train was crossing the bridge.
The passenger reportedly pulled the chain to take photos and videos of the new bridge from the scenic location.
The train was delayed for six minutes before resuming its journey after railway police intervened and questioned the individual.
