Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagenthran has criticized the DMK government for launching the Thayumanavar scheme, alleging it is aimed at securing votes ahead of the next elections.Speaking to the media in Chennai, he claimed the DMK fears losing in nearly 200 constituencies and is introducing welfare programs to improve its chances.
Nagenthran said the scheme is not being implemented out of genuine concern for the people but due to “election defeat anxiety.”
