Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday said that the state’s peaceful atmosphere has helped attract investments worth ₹10 lakh crore in the last four years.
Speaking at a welfare programme in Dharmapuri, the Chief Minister launched the state’s first-ever online crop loan scheme through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies. Under this system, farmers can receive crop loans directly into their bank accounts on the same day of applying online.
Highlighting Tamil Nadu’s leadership in development, Stalin said, “All major development schemes in India have Tamil Nadu as their model. The Dravidian model is a guide for the nation. Even Central government statistics confirm that Tamil Nadu is among the best-performing states.”
He accused opposition parties and Governor R.N. Ravi of spreading false propaganda against the DMK government. “While the Governor blocks laws and prints fake Thirukkural verses, the truth is Tamil Nadu remains peaceful and progressive. That is why investors have trusted our state,” Stalin said.
New Announcements for Dharmapuri
The Chief Minister also unveiled several projects for Dharmapuri district, including:
Inclusion of 63 hill villages under Arur revenue division.
Construction of new classrooms at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nallampalli, at a cost of ₹7.5 crore.
Upgradation of the Attukaranpatti–Pennagaram road into a four-lane highway.
Establishment of a Tamarind Trade Centre at a cost of ₹11 crore.
