The much-anticipated film Kiss, starring Kavin and Preethi Asrani, is now slated for release on September 19. The film was initially scheduled to hit theaters in July.
âDirected by Satish Krishnan, who makes his directorial debut with this project, the film is expected to be a comedy that explores a man’s unexpected journey. While the official plot remains under wraps, the story is rumored to revolve around Kavinâs character, a man who strongly dislikes public displays of affection (PDA) and is known for morally policing couples. The narrative will likely build a humorous conflict when he finds himself falling in love, forcing him to confront his own beliefs.
âIn addition to Satish Krishnan, the film’s screenplay has additional dialogues by Mugil and R. Savarimuthu. The technical team includes cinematographer Harish Kannan, editor RC Pranav, art director Mohan Mahendran, and stunt directors Peter Hein, Dinesh Subbarayan, and Rambo Vimal.
âThis release adds to Kavin’s recent and upcoming work, following his two releases last year, Star and Bloody Beggar. He also has two other films in the pipeline, Mask and Hi, helmed by debut directors Vikarnan Ashok and Vishnu Edavan, respectively. Preethi Asrani, who debuted in Tamil cinema with Ayothi (2023), was last seen in the film Election (2024).
