Traffic diversions have been announced in Besant Nagar, Chennai, in view of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Annai Velankanni Shrine. The changes will be in effect until September 8 to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the festivities.As part of the arrangements, police have restricted vehicle movement in certain areas around the church and created alternative routes for motorists. Barricades have been placed to guide traffic, and additional police personnel have been deployed to manage the crowd.
The celebrations are expected to draw thousands of devotees, prompting officials to take steps to avoid congestion. Motorists are advised to follow the signs and instructions of the traffic police while visiting Besant Nagar during this period.
