Former AIADMK leaders V.K. Sasikala and T.T.V. Dhinakaran have strongly condemned the removal of senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan from his party posts.Sasikala called the move a “childish act”, saying it does not help the growth of AIADMK. She praised Sengottaiyan’s sincere efforts to reunite the party and said his wish was only to see AIADMK return to power. She reminded that lakhs of party workers also wanted unity.
Dhinakaran too criticised the decision, calling it an “extreme step” that would backfire on those who made it. He described Sengottaiyan as a loyal leader who stood by the party since the days of MGR. According to him, removing such a senior leader is not a loss for Sengottaiyan but for those who expelled him.
Both leaders stressed that AIADMK’s main focus should be defeating DMK, not sidelining loyal party veterans.
