Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin will launch a new campaign called “Oraniyil Tamil Nadu” on September 15, the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai.As part of the campaign, more than 1 crore families are expected to take part in a pledge across 68,000 booths in Tamil Nadu. The pledge focuses on protecting the state’s rights and identity.
The pledge will include promises to:
Protect Tamil Nadu’s soil, language, dignity, and rights.
Oppose the delimitation exercise, which could reduce the number of Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
Resist electoral roll issues, including the Special Intensive Revision process.
Fight against NEET and similar policies affecting youth.
Demand more funding for education.
Oppose discrimination against Tamil language and culture.
Work for the welfare of women, farmers, fishermen, weavers, and workers.
