State BJP president Nainar Nagendran has raised strong questions over the prices of petrol and diesel in Tamil Nadu. He accused the DMK government of failing to fulfil its promises on fuel price reductions.Ā Nagendran pointed out that during the election campaign, DMK had promised to cut petrol by ā¹5 per litre and diesel by ā¹4 per litre. He asked whether Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had actually done this.Ā He said that giving people false hope is a habit of the ruling party. He also claimed that increasing costs without lowering prices is what the āDravidian modelā has become.
Nagendran warned that this would affect DMKās credibility with voters. He called the promise āElection Promise No. 504ā and urged the people to remember this when voting.
