The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) held a public meeting in Siruganur, Tiruchi district, on the 117th birth anniversary of Perarignar Anna. Party leaders including Vaiko and T. Vaiko participated.During the meeting, several resolutions were passed. The key resolution declared that MDMK will work hard to ensure the victory of the DMK-led alliance in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The party reaffirmed its stand to protect the ideals of the Dravidian movement. It pledged to uphold the welfare of Tamil, Tamils, and Tamil Nadu without compromise.
The resolutions also warned that anti-Dravidian forces are making efforts to capture power in the state. MDMK said that to stop them, the alliance must remain united and strong.
