TTV Dhinakaran, General Secretary of AMMK, says that Vijay of TVK will make a greater impact in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections than what DMDK founder Vijayakanth did in 2006. Dhinakaran also predicted a four-cornered contest in the elections. He said AMMK will decide its alliance clearly by December.
He criticized AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, saying one reason he left NDA was that Palaniswami was named the Chief Ministerial candidate by the alliance.
Dhinakaran also claimed Palaniswami’s leadership might face challenges after the 2026 polls.
