Chennai, Sept 24:
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has criticized the AIADMK for its internal divisions, suggesting that the party is fragmented into multiple factions. He pointed out that even in Sattur, there are two distinct wings within the AIADMK, highlighting the lack of unity within the opposition party. In contrast, Udhayanidhi emphasized that the DMK boasts nearly 25 active wings, including those for youth, women, students, and lawyers, showcasing the party’s organizational strength.
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks come amid recent developments within the AIADMK, including a rift involving senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan, who has urged the party to reinstate expelled leaders. Stalin mocked the situation, suggesting that AIADMK cadres are now confused about whom to follow: Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), O. Panneerselvam (OPS), TTV Dhinakaran, Sasikala, Deepa, or the new Sengottaiyan faction. He predicted that ultimately, these factions would align with the BJP.
The Deputy Chief Minister also advised EPS to focus on resolving the internal conflicts within the AIADMK rather than criticizing the DMK-led alliance. He warned that the BJP’s influence over the AIADMK could lead to the party’s downfall, urging EPS to “save his faction-ridden AIADMK” before attacking the DMK.
