Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran held a meeting with senior party officials at his residence in Palayankottai, near Tirunelveli. The meeting lasted over an hour and included discussions with BJP State Secretary Keshav Vinayagam, former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan, and State General Secretary Pon Balaganapathy. The primary focus of the meeting was to plan the party’s upcoming public outreach campaign. Nagendran announced that the BJP will launch a state-wide “People’s Outreach Yatra” starting on October 11 from Madurai East constituency. The rally aims to strengthen the party’s presence ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
BJP National President J.P. Nadda is expected to inaugurate the rally. The party is also considering involving alliance partners in the event. Nagendran emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement and discussed strategies to expand the party’s influence in Tamil Nadu.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of reuniting with former AIADMK leaders like O. Panneerselvam and T.T.V. Dhinakaran. However, Nagendran clarified that this is an internal matter for the AIADMK and not a priority for the BJP at this time.
The BJP is actively preparing for the 2026 elections, with plans to strengthen its organizational structure and increase public outreach across the state.
