Velmurugan, leader of the Tamil Nadu Vazhvu Urimai Katchi (TVK), has raised concerns over the Tamil Nadu government’s failure to take action against actor Vijay following the tragic stampede in Karur that claimed 41 lives. He pointed out that the government typically arrests organizers when such incidents occur, yet no action was taken against Vijay, who was reportedly the main draw at the event.
Velmurugan also welcomed the remarks made by Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), who questioned the government’s inaction. He further criticized the government’s leniency, suggesting that the absence of action might be due to external influences, such as requests from individuals abroad.
The TVK leader has called on Chief Minister M. K. Stalin to provide a clear explanation regarding the government’s stance on the matter.
