Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M. K. Stalin responded strongly to Governor R. N. Ravi’s recent comments questioning “against whom the state will fight,” declaring that Tamil Nadu will resist what he described as the Centre’s arrogance, conspiracies, and injustices toward the state.In a detailed statement on social media, Stalin cited several issues affecting Tamil Nadu’s development. He emphasized that the state would fight to protect its rights, safeguard democracy, and uphold constitutional values.
Stalin highlighted the Centre’s insistence that funds under the SSA education scheme be released only if Tamil Nadu accepts Hindi imposition, calling it an example of arrogance. He also spoke against attempts to push backward superstitions in schools, curb scientific temper, and impose anti-democratic pressures on elected governments.
The Chief Minister further criticized forces spreading religious fanaticism and attempting to disrupt the state’s industrial growth and job opportunities. He cited actions like saffronising poet Thiruvalluvar, ignoring Keezhadi archaeological findings, reducing parliamentary representation through delimitation, and imposing NEET in the state as part of a broader conspiracy against Tamil Nadu.
Stalin also condemned media and groups spreading slander or hoping for social unrest, asserting that despite such pressures, Tamil Nadu has shown strong economic growth of 11.19% and remains a model for the country.
He concluded by affirming that Tamil Nadu will continue to fight against all these forces and, in doing so, will protect the entire nation.
