Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said GenRise under the stateâs Vetri Nichayam program, aims to skill and empower 35,000 young people by March 2028.
Conceived by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) in partnership with Generation India Foundation, GenRise combines global expertise with local training methodologies to ensure quality skilling and verified employment outcomes.
The program will focus on roles in services, manufacturing, and technology, including IT support, software development, and cloud applications. It also emphasizes blended training models, capacity building, and transparent monitoring systems to connect youth with sustainable, higher-paying jobs.
Udhayanidhi Stalin said the initiative aims to give youth across Tamil Naduârural and urbanâthe chance to succeed and contribute to the stateâs economy, while strengthening communities through meaningful employment opportunities.
