Former Tamil Nadu BJP state president K. Annamalai claimed that VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan appears to be in a state of confusion after actor Vijay launched his political career. Speaking at Madurai Airport, Annamalai said that the entrance of Vijay into active politics has unsettled Thirumavalavan’s thinking and political calculations. Annamalai also referenced a recent protest in Chennai led by Thirumavalavan against a judge, stating that during the demonstration, a lawyer was assaulted. He questioned Thirumavalavan’s moral authority, pointing out that he is an elected MP and a party leader and therefore should conduct himself with greater restraint.
Further, Annamalai raised other state issues, such as the Karur tragedy and pharmaceutical irregularities. He accused the state government of failing to act decisively, and demanded that Chief Minister Stalin take responsibility and ensure those responsible are held to account.
