Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is set to develop a large parking facility near the OTA–Nanganallur Road Metro station on land recently reclaimed by the State government.The 40,000 sq.ft plot, which earlier housed a popular restaurant, was handed over to CMRL after the Alandur Judicial Court ordered the lessee to vacate the premises.
The new parking area will accommodate around 500 vehicles and will include site clearance, paving, space marking, and access ramps. Located about a 5–10 minute walk from the Metro station, the facility aims to ease congestion and improve commuter convenience in the area.
