In anticipation of heavy passenger traffic over the upcoming weekend from November 7 to 9, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) will run over 900 special buses alongside regular services to accommodate travelers across the state.From the Kilambakkam bus terminus, 340 special buses will operate on Friday and 350 on Saturday, covering major destinations such as Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tirupur.
Additionally, 55 special buses will depart from Koyambedu on both Friday and Saturday, heading to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru. Another 100 buses will also run from Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to various Tamil Nadu destinations.
Meanwhile, 20 special services will operate from Madhavaram on November 7 and 8.To facilitate return journeys, special buses will be available on Sunday, November 9, from different districts based on passenger requests.Pre-bookings have been strong, with over 5,000 passengers for each day, expected to increase.
Travelers are encouraged to book seats in advance via the official TNSTC website or mobile app to avoid last-minute rushes.
TNSTC has deployed sufficient officials at key bus terminals to monitor these operations and ensure smooth travel experiences for passengers during this busy period.
