The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted chances of rain in Tamil Nadu and surrounding regionstill November 15.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in areas including Puducherry, Karaikal, and parts of northern Tamil Nadu.The weather system is influenced by a lower atmospheric cyclonic circulation over northern Tamil Nadu.
Heavy rainfall is anticipated in some hilly regions of Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari districts. Districts such as Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, and Coimbatore are also likely to experience showers during this period.
In Chennai and its suburbs, partly cloudy skies are predicted with occasional light to moderate rains accompanied by thunder and lightning. Temperatures are expected to range between a maximum of 32-33Ā°C and a minimum of 25-26Ā°C.
The rain activity may slightly ease after November 15.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions, especially in rain-prone areas.
