The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced a significant increase in the number of vacancies for Group 2 and 2A posts for the year 2025-26. Originally, the recruitment notification issued in July 2025 listed 645 vacancies for various government positions such as Sub-Registrar, Junior Assistant, Forester, and other administrative roles. Following increased demand and additional vacancies reported from various government departments, TNPSC has now raised the total number of vacancies by an additional 625 posts. This brings the new total to 1,270 vacancies for Group 2 and 2A positions.These vacancies include diverse roles across multiple departments and are aimed at filling positions like Sub-Registrar, Junior Employment Officer, Forester, Senior Revenue Inspector, and Assistant among others. The recruitment exams for these posts are conducted in multiple stages. Group 2 posts involve a preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview, whereas Group 2A posts have a preliminary and mains exam only. TNPSC has advised candidates to visit the official TNPSC website for detailed information on post-wise vacancy distribution, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.
