He left the field after facing just three balls and was later admitted to a hospital.Gill has now traveled with the team to Guwahati for the second Test, but his fitness remains uncertain. He wants to play, but the final decision on his participation will be made closer to the match.
Doctors are keeping a close watch on him. If he can’t play, Rishabh Pant may lead the team in his place.
