Madurai, Dec 8: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Velu Nachiyar Flyover in Madurai and announced several new development projects for the city. Emphasising the state government’s vision of inclusive growth, he reiterated that Tamil Nadu will continue to remain a beacon of equality and social justice.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister highlighted key public infrastructure and cultural initiatives undertaken by the Dravidian Model government in Madurai. These include the Kalaignar Centenary Library, the Kalaignar Centenary Jallikattu Arena, the grand Keeladi Museum, and a world-class hockey stadium. According to him, these landmark projects represent the true “politics of development” that his government stands for in Madurai and across Tamil Nadu.
At the same time, Stalin took a swipe at the BJP, accusing the party of indulging in empty rhetoric. He said that while they speak of institutions like AIIMS and metro rail projects, they fail to deliver them in reality. He also alleged attempts to suppress the findings of the Keeladi archaeological report, accusing the party of blocking historical truth and cultural pride.
Reaffirming his commitment to equality and progress, Stalin concluded his message by stating that the “lamp of equality will always burn in Tamil Nadu, and the light of development will continue to grow stronger.” His remarks reflect the core ideology and governance model of the DMK government, which places social justice, education, culture, and infrastructure development at the centre of its vision for the state.
