Madurai, Dec 19: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has said that Christian values and Dravidian principles share the same core beliefs, emphasising love, humanity and equality. He made these remarks while speaking at a DMK Christmas event in Madurai.Stalin explained that both Christian teachings and the Dravidian movement stress the importance of kindness, compassion and treating all people equally. He said that in Jesus’s life, simplicity and caring for others were most important, and these values align with the spirit of the Dravidian ideology.
Highlighting unity and harmony, the Deputy Chief Minister said leaders should focus on bringing people together rather than spreading hatred based on religion, language or caste. He added that Tamil Nadu’s government operates with a spirit of sharing and equality, inspired by a philosophy similar to both Christian and Dravidian thought.
Stalin also noted that Christian and Dravidian values both encourage care and respect for all communities, and that focusing on these shared principles can help build understanding and peace in society.
