Former Tamil Nadu BJP state president K. Annamalai has reiterated that the primary goal of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections is to defeat the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
Speaking to reporters after a party meeting in Coimbatore, Annamalai stated that all efforts within the alliance are focused on ensuring the DMK does not return to power.
Addressing questions on alliance strategy, Annamalai said the NDA is working to strengthen itself and that leaders of all partner parties will be treated with respect to build a cohesive and effective election campaign. He expressed confidence that the alliance has the potential to secure a decisive victory if it remains united and focused on its common objective.
