India stormed to a stunning eight-wicket win over New Zealand, chasing down 209 runs in just 15.2 overs to take a 2–0 lead in the T20I series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium.
Suryakumar Yadav led from the front with a breathtaking 82 off 37 balls, while Ishan Kishan smashed 76 off 32, as the Indian batters made light work of a daunting target.
Earlier, New Zealand posted a strong 208/6 in 20 overs, thanks to attacking cameos from Mitchell Santner (47 off 27) and Rachin Ravindra (44 off 26), after India skipper Suryakumar won the toss and chose to bowl.
India’s explosive batting display, however, ensured the contest ended well before the final overs, underlining their dominance in the series so far.
