Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin made a confident and assertive address in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly today during the debate on the Governor’s speech. With the 2026 Assembly elections approaching, Stalin emphasised that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will once again form the government, expressing strong faith in the people of the state.
Responding to various criticisms during the session, Stalin described challenges he has faced as tests of strength rather than obstacles, drawing parallels to the political struggles encountered by iconic Dravidian leaders like C.N. Annadurai, M. Karunanidhi, M.G. Ramachandran, and J. Jayalalithaa—leaders whose resolve, he said, helped shape Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
Stalin acknowledged that opposition members raised multiple criticisms but also thanked those who offered constructive suggestions. He highlighted his government’s five years of dedicated work and commitment to public welfare policies, stating this effort reflects the trust that Tamil Nadu’s people place in the DMK’s leadership.
“Tamil Nadu will see DMK rule again, because the people of this state have greater trust in us,” the Chief Minister declared, underscoring his confidence in the party’s prospects in the upcoming polls.
