Tiruppur, Jan 27: Hindu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath has strongly criticised the DMK party, saying its main work is to deceive the people of Tamil Nadu. He spoke to reporters during a visit to Tiruppur.Arjun Sampath said DMK leaders lie about their achievements. He claimed the party says it has solved people’s problems, but there are no real results from promises made in the last election. He added that DMK’s talk about success is a big lie.
He criticised the state government on issues like liquor sales and law-and-order, and said Tamil Nadu is doing poorly in these areas. Arjun Sampath also said DMK has eaten up smaller allied parties and oppressed them politically.
Sampath referred to actor-politician Vijay, who spoke against corruption. He said saying there will be no corruption is just election talk and not reality.
He announced that Hindu Makkal Katchi will hold a big public meeting on February 15 and demanded that the DMK government be removed.
Arjun Sampath’s remarks reflect growing political attacks against the ruling party ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
