Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has invited bids for new station access works on its Phase 2 metro project. The work is for Corridor-05 elevated stations, part of the metro route connecting Madhavaram and Sholinganallur.The project includes building new entry and exit structures, and adding escalators with necessary civil, architectural and finishing work at these stations. The contract is valued at around Rs. 23.70 crore and bidders have time until February 11, 2026 to submit their offers. Once awarded, the work is expected to be completed in about 120 days.
The Phase 2 of Chennai Metro spans nearly 118.9 km with three metro corridors, aiming to improve connectivity across the city and support rising public transport needs.
