The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has announced a district secretaries’ meeting in Chennai on February 4, as part of its intensified preparations for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The consultative session, to be chaired by AIADMK general secretary and Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, is scheduled to take place at the party headquarters in Royapettah, with party office-bearers urged to participate without fail.
With just few weeks to go before voting, the meeting is expected to focus on critical election strategies, candidate lists, possible seat allocations within alliances, and campaign planning across the state.
The AIADMK leadership has been actively mobilising its cadre base and gearing up organisational activities following the re-strengthening of its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the polls.
This session comes amid a broader political push by parties in Tamil Nadu to sharpen their election machinery — with rival parties also holding strategic meetings and launching campaigns as the assembly elections draw closer.
