The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced scheduled power cuts in several parts of Chennai tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, to carry out essential maintenance and upgrade work on the electricity network. Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly.According to TNEB officials, power supply will be suspended from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in selected localities. The supply will be restored as soon as the work is completed, following necessary safety checks.
Affected Areas:
Key areas expected to experience outages include Thirumullaivoyal, Siva Garden, R.K.J. Valli Vel Nagar, Thai Nagar, and surrounding neighborhoods. Residents in these zones are urged to charge devices in advance, unplug sensitive appliances, and make alternative arrangements for critical electricity-dependent work.
This move is part of TNEB’s routine maintenance drive aimed at improving the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution system. Officials reminded citizens that temporary inconvenience is necessary for long-term service improvement.
Similar planned outages were conducted in the city on February 3, affecting multiple localities. TNEB continues to stress safety precautions and advises people to follow updates regarding any changes in the schedule.
