The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has convened a meeting of its district secretaries on March 4 as part of preparations for the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The meeting, called by the party’s general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, will be held at the AIADMK headquarters in Royapettah, Chennai, and is expected to focus on strengthening organisational readiness and election strategy.
With the polls drawing closer, the party has stepped up its groundwork, including prior consultations with district secretaries in late December, sessions with its IT wing and zonal in-charge leaders, and meetings of the General Council and Executive Committee to firm up coordination at various levels. AIADMK sources said the March 4 meeting will review the functioning of booth-level committees established in all Assembly constituencies and evaluate election-related performance across districts.
Palaniswami is expected to urge district secretaries to intensify their efforts on the ground, ensure close cooperation with alliance partners, and mobilise support to secure a decisive mandate for the party or its coalition in the state polls.
