U.S. President Donald Trump said that he is not ruling out the possibility of deploying American ground forces into Iran if the situation demands it, as the military campaign against Tehran continues to intensify.
Speaking amid ongoing strikes that the U.S. and Israel have launched against Iranian military and strategic targets, Trump stressed that all military options remain available — including “boots on the ground” — although there are no U.S. ground troops currently inside Iran.
Defense officials, including U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, echoed Trump’s comments in Pentagon briefings, saying that while the focus remains on airpower and precision strikes, the deployment of ground forces hasn’t been ruled out and would be considered if necessary. 9
