India has seen the first flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai land on Indian soil after days of disruption to Middle East aviation caused by the escalating conflict involving the U.S., Israel and Iran. These limited operations offer a small but crucial relief as airlines begin cautiously restoring services and repositioning aircraft and crew.
The move comes amid severe airspace closures across the region, which have forced major carriers to cancel or suspend most commercial flights, leaving thousands of travellers, including many Indians, stranded abroad.
While this limited resumption doesn’t signal a full return to normalcy, the arrivals highlight the steady, if cautious, restart of air connectivity between the Gulf and India as operators navigate evolving safety and routing challenges.
