Senior Congress leader Karti Chidambaram has said that both the Indian National Congress and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam are working with the intention of continuing their alliance ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Speaking at a public event, Karti Chidambaram emphasised that discussions between the two parties over seat-sharing and other electoral arrangements are ongoing in a constructive spirit. He said both sides are keen on strengthening the partnership and finalising terms that are acceptable to all stakeholders.
The leader’s remarks come amid continued talks between party leaderships to resolve differences over the number of Assembly seats and Rajya Sabha nominations. Karti Chidambaram underlined the importance of maintaining unity within the alliance to take on the electoral contest as a cohesive front.
