The upcoming Tamil film Kaalidas 2, starring Bharath in the lead role, is set to hit theatres on April 3. The film is directed by Sri Senthil, who also helmed the first instalment Kaalidas released in 2019.
The sequel features Bharath reprising his role as Inspector Kaalidas and continues in the investigative thriller genre similar to the first film. The cast includes Ajay Karthi, Bhavani Sre and Abarnathi in key roles. Veteran actor Sangeetha is also returning to Tamil cinema with this film after a long gap.
The film is produced by Dr N. Yogeshwaran and Five Star K. Senthil under the Sky Pictures banner. The technical team includes music composer Sam C. S., cinematographer Suresh Bala, and editor Bhuvan Srinivasan. The makers expect the sequel to deliver a more intense and action-packed thriller while continuing the investigative tone established in the first film.
