The first look poster of the upcoming Tamil film Thirupavai, written, directed and produced by debut filmmaker A. S. Ravichandran, was released by N. Rangasamy, Chief Minister of Puducherry.
The film centres on a woman protagonist and aims to portray social realities while steering away from typical commercial cinema elements. The first look poster has already drawn attention from audiences and members of the film industry for its striking visual presentation.
Ravichandran, who also plays a key role in the film, has set the story against the backdrop of Puducherry. The movie was shot entirely in locations including Puducherry, Tiruvannamalai, and Polur, along with nearby areas.
Actress Janani plays the female lead, while the supporting cast includes Singampuli, Madhumitha, Rama, Munnar Ramesh, Murugadas, Sidharth, Vandana, Feroz Khan, Sukanya and Kousalya.
The film’s music and lyrics are composed by Sathish S., while cinematography is handled by Devasurya K. Editing is by G. Ranjith Kumar.
The stunt choreography is by Idiminnal Elanko, costume design by Lakshminarayanan, makeup by Mani, VFX by Praba, and sound design by Sathish S. Stills and publicity are handled by Velu.
Produced under the banner of ASR Films, Thirupavai is currently in post-production, with announcements regarding the film’s music and teaser expected soon.
