Washington, Mar 17: US President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing war with Iran could end “soon,” but made it clear that an immediate resolution is unlikely within this week.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump struck an optimistic tone about the conflict — now in its third week — saying the war “won’t be long” and would be wrapped up in the near future.
However, when asked directly if the fighting could end this week, he clarified that it was unlikely, indicating that the timeline remains uncertain.
The conflict, involving the United States and its allies against Iran, has already led to significant military escalation and regional tensions, with no formal ceasefire or end plan announced yet.
Trump also expressed confidence that ending the war would make the world “much safer,” even as the situation on the ground continues to evolve.
