The Communist Party of India has been allotted five seats by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam as part of their alliance for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The seat-sharing agreement was formally signed by DMK president and Chief Minister M K Stalin and CPI State Secretary Veerapandi.
The pact is seen as a continuation of the long-standing alliance between the DMK and CPI, reinforcing the coalition’s strategy ahead of the polls. Further details on constituencies are expected to be announced soon.
Leaders from both sides highlighted that the alliance is rooted in shared ideological principles, including social justice, secularism, and welfare-oriented governance.
