Actor Yogi Babu is set to play the lead in the Malayalam remake of the 2022 Tamil film Aadhaar, with the project officially in the works.
The remake will be directed by Ramnath Palanikumar, who also helmed the original film, and will retain the same title.
According to the makers, the film will feature a fresh cast alongside Yogi Babu, with a team of leading technicians being assembled. The story is expected to explore how ordinary people are exploited by profit-driven corporate systems, staying true to the core theme of the original.
The original Aadhaar received critical appreciation for its writing and realistic portrayal of social issues. The Malayalam version is expected to begin production soon, marking another cross-industry project for Yogi Babu.
