Washington, Mar 21:
US President Donald Trump has said that the United States is considering “winding down” its military operations in the Middle East, indicating a possible shift in strategy.
Trump stated that the US is “close to meeting its objectives” in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, and suggested that other nations may need to take greater responsibility for securing key regions such as the Strait of Hormuz.
However, officials indicated that any withdrawal would be gradual and dependent on ground conditions, with the US continuing to monitor security developments closely to prevent further escalation in the region.
