Chennai/Karur, Apr 2:
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin expressed confidence over the political situation in Karur, asserting that he has “no worries” regarding the constituency as election campaigning gathers pace.
Addressing party workers and the public during his campaign, Stalin indicated that the ruling DMK alliance remains strong in Karur, dismissing concerns raised by the opposition. He reiterated that grassroots support and welfare scheme delivery continue to favour the DMK in the region.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s achievements, particularly in welfare schemes, infrastructure development, and support for women and farmers, stating that these initiatives have strengthened public trust. He urged party cadres to maintain momentum and connect with voters at the booth level.
Stalin’s remarks come amid an intensified political battle ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, where Karur is seen as a closely watched constituency due to its political significance and recent developments.
Reiterating confidence in the DMK-led alliance, he said the party’s performance and governance record would ensure victory. His statement also signals an attempt to project stability and counter opposition narratives in key districts.
With campaigning entering a crucial phase, Karur continues to remain a focal point, even as leaders across parties step up outreach efforts to consolidate support.
