Chennai, Apr 6:

Both leaders to leave for campaigning in Pudicherry after meeting TN leaders

With election campaigning entering a crucial phase, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress Rahul Gandhi are set to visit Chennai today, prompting heightened security at the airport.

Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in the afternoon and proceed to Puducherry by helicopter to campaign for NDA candidates. He is expected to return to Chennai later in the evening and hold discussions with senior BJP leaders before departing for New Delhi.

Rahul Gandhi will arrive earlier in the morning and meet Tamil Nadu Congress leaders at the airport. He will then travel to Puducherry to campaign for Congress and alliance candidates.
