Chennai,  Apr 18:

Actor-turned-politician Vijay intensified his election campaign with a direct, grassroots approach by visiting voters door-to-door in Chennai’s Perambur constituency.

Contesting from Perambur, one of the key battlegrounds in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay personally interacted with residents to understand their concerns and build voter connect.

The campaign, carried out without prior announcement, drew attention for its focus on personal outreach rather than large public rallies. Vijay’s strategy aims to strengthen his presence among urban voters, especially youth and first-time voters, who form a significant support base for his party.

With the elections nearing, such direct engagement reflects a shift towards localized campaigning, as candidates seek to establish trust and visibility at the grassroots level. Perambur, already a high-profile constituency this election season, is witnessing intensified political activity as parties step up their efforts to connect with voters.
