DMDK chief Premalatha Vijayakanth cast her vote in Virugambakkam on Thursday as polling progressed across Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to reporters after voting, she expressed confidence that the DMK-led alliance would secure a sweeping victory, predicting it would win over 200 constituencies in the Assembly elections.
Polling is underway across the State with steady voter turnout, as political leaders and party functionaries expressed optimism about their respective alliances.
Authorities have deployed heavy security to ensure a peaceful and smooth voting process.
