Chennai, Apr 27:
The Directorate of Elementary Education has directed officials to ensure the timely completion of school result approvals and infrastructure data updates in preparation for the 2026–27 academic year.
According to an official circular, all district and block-level education authorities have been instructed to complete pending academic and administrative processes through the Education Management Information System (EMIS) within stipulated deadlines.
Authorities have been asked to finalise student results for classes up to 8 and upload all relevant academic and infrastructure-related data on the portal by April 30. This includes verification and approval of student records by concerned officials, with a clear warning that incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
District education officers have been tasked with ensuring that all schools under their jurisdiction comply with the timeline. The department has stressed accountability, cautioning that delays or negligence will be closely monitored.
In addition, schools must verify and upload teacher and student-related details by May 11, further streamlining administrative records ahead of the new academic session.
Officials emphasised the need for coordinated efforts at all levels to prevent discrepancies and ensure a smooth transition into the upcoming academic year, benefiting both students and institutions.
