Chennai, Apr 28: The Periyar Science and Technology Centre has announced its Summer Special Workshops 2026, offering an engaging learning platform for school students during the vacation period.

Organised by the Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, the programme features eight workshops covering a range of topics including science, innovation, and emerging technologies. The sessions are designed to provide hands-on experience and practical exposure to students.

According to the schedule, the workshops will begin on May 5 and 6 with a Robotics Workshop, followed by 3D Printing Technology on May 7 and 8. Artificial Intelligence training is planned for May 12 and 13, while a combined Robotics and Drone Workshop will be held on May 14 and 15. A Foldscope Workshop is scheduled for May 16, followed by a Rocket Making Workshop on May 19 and a Telescope Workshop on May 20. The programme will conclude with a three-day Science Camp from May 21 to 23.

The workshops are open to students from Classes 6 to 10, with a maximum of 50 participants allowed per session. Additionally, five seats are reserved for government school students, with the first five applicants eligible for full fee exemption.

Sessions will be conducted daily from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Students attending computer-based workshops are required to bring a laptop with internet connectivity.

Interested participants can register online through the official website of the Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre by submitting the application form. The initiative aims to nurture scientific curiosity and innovation among young learners during the summer break.
