With the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam inching closer to the halfway mark in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the party has reportedly moved swiftly to secure its flock.
According to sources, TVK has booked a private resort in Mahabalipuram to accommodate its winning and leading MLAs, in a bid to prevent any possible “horse-trading” as counting progresses.
The move comes as the party, led by Vijay, continues to surge ahead in early trends, emerging as the frontrunner in the 234-member Assembly. With numbers edging closer to a majority, political activity has intensified across camps.
Such precautionary measures—often seen during closely contested elections—are aimed at ensuring party unity and safeguarding elected representatives from poaching attempts by rival parties.
While there has been no official confirmation from TVK, the development underscores the high-stakes nature of the ongoing counting process, with the final outcome still awaited.
