Chennai, May 21:
Bajaj General Insurance Limited has launched ‘My Health Care Plan Edge+’ (MHCP EDGE+), a comprehensive health indemnity product aimed at addressing rising medical costs and reducing out-of-pocket expenses through flexible and customisable coverage.
Built on its existing MHCP offering, the new plan combines core hospitalisation benefits with a range of optional riders, allowing customers to tailor coverage based on their needs and affordability. It offers a sum insured ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹5 crore, along with unlimited reinstatement within a policy year, ensuring continued protection even after multiple claims.
The base policy covers hospitalisation expenses such as room rent, ICU charges, surgeries, modern treatments, AYUSH therapies, and pre- and post-hospitalisation costs. It also includes day care procedures, domiciliary treatment, organ donor expenses, and ambulance services, providing comprehensive financial protection.
Commenting on the launch, Dr Tapan Singhel, MD and CEO, said the plan reflects a shift from product-based insurance to a more holistic healthcare solution, addressing key gaps such as non-payable expenses and the need for adaptable coverage.
