Chennai, May 30:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is scheduled to visit Tiruchirappalli on Monday as part of his post-election outreach programme to thank the people for their support.
The visit holds particular significance as Vijay had contested and won from the Trichy East constituency in the recent Assembly elections. Although he later vacated the seat to retain another constituency, the Chief Minister is keen on personally expressing gratitude to voters in the region.
During the visit, Vijay is expected to interact with party cadres, address a public gathering, and review key development initiatives in and around Trichy. Officials indicate that the tour is not just ceremonial but will also focus on assessing ongoing government projects and accelerating pending works.
The programme is likely to witness a massive turnout, with party supporters and the public preparing to welcome the Chief Minister. Security arrangements are also being strengthened ahead of the high-profile visit.
This Trichy trip marks one of Vijay’s early district-level engagements after assuming office, underlining his intent to maintain a direct connect with the people and reinforce his party’s presence at the grassroots level.
